Born with Klippel-Trenaunay
I was born with Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome (KTS), a rare condition that affects the development of blood vessels, soft tissues and bones.
has several characteristics, including vein malformation that affects the limbs and abnormal overgrowth of soft tissues.
It took me years to get a proper diagnosis. I consulted in the United States and in Canada. I was depressed, worried and even suicidal at one point. Finally, I was referred to a doctor in Cuba who told me what was wrong with me and explained my syndrome and how to manage it.
For the past 12 years, I’ve tried many different types of compression stockings and I find JOBST® to be the most comfortable and reliable. They keep my veins and severe swelling under control. Not only do they feel great on my leg, they also make me feel pretty in my own skin. The texture works very well with every style of clothing, which makes dressing everyday easy and gives me great confidence.
I am a fashion model on a quest to inspire and uplift others through my story, purpose and deep zest for life. I want to be a voice!
Recently I started a movement called BeRevealed. BeRevealed’s aim is to encourage people from all walks of life to be their best and true self with pride and confidence.
I also fundraise for KTS and lymphedema research and family support. Through my movement, I have helped people feel great, accepted, empowered and part of a community.
This is my story!
